The thoughts my heart inscribe
Songs cannot fully convey
The pains my soul bear
For Every day of my life i lived
Like an island in the stream
Every pain i took in
Covered,still smiling.
I pause to reflect on my life,
On all my years of youthful strife
For i lived like a candle in the wind
A sparrow with a broken wing
But when you look at me what you see
Is really what i reveal to thee
A smiling face, a calm frame
But beneath the still waters,
Is me, a person you might never meet...
